- Front-desk calls down 62%

The problem
Booking was done by phone into a paper diary, records lived in one branch at a time, and a patient who walked into the wrong branch started again from nothing.
What we did
- 01We sat behind the desk at the two busiest branches for a week and timed every interruption.
- 02The receptionist's screen was designed first, then everything else was fitted around it.
- 03Online booking was released to patients only after the internal system had run for a month without surprises.
- 04Records, prescriptions and billing were brought onto the same patient record, with access logged line by line.
The results
- Fewer calls to the desk
- 62%
- Branches on one record
- 6
- Average check-in, from 13
